Direct Support staff work for individuals with disabilities who live in their own apartment.  They help the person to be as independent as possible while giving the necessary support.  The staff provide help with daily living skills as needed, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and personal hygiene.  They also take the person out in the community to teach shopping skills, social skills, money skills and more.

• Are able to make decisions independently 
• Are willing to participate in the necessary training

To qualify applicants need to:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a reliable vehicle
• Have a valid drivers license
• Meet the requirements of

  • Three references
  • Drug Screen
  • TB Screen
